Bereavement support and Muslim pastoral care

Muslim pastoral care – Listening. Accompanying. Giving hope.

Muslim pastoral care means meeting people where they are – in their worries, questions, crises and in their moments of searching for meaning.
It is not a taboo, but a place of relief, trust and empowerment.

We accompany:
• in matters of faith and spiritual orientation
• in grief, illness, dying and farewell
• in conflicts, family burdens or life transitions
• in loneliness, fear, hopelessness or overexertion
• in crises of adolescents, adults and seniors

Muslim pastoral care is much more than a conversation.
It includes: listening, reflection, tazkiya (inner purification), accompaniment in rituals, psychosocial support, bereavement support and practical help – whether in hospitals, mosques, prisons, with emergency services, families or online.

Our task is:
To encourage – instead of remaining silent.
To open up hope – instead of condemning.
To provide orientation – instead of leaving alone.

Those who ask show strength.
Those who speak find ways.
Those who are accompanied discover new doors.

In order to meet the needs of all people, both a female and a male Muslim chaplain are available to you.
This allows women, men, young people and families to choose support that feels safe, appropriate and trustworthy for them.

We work in a strong, supra-regionally networked community.
If it is helpful, we can arrange for chaplains from your cultural background or in your native language – because communication thrives on understanding, not just speaking.

Spiritual support is personal. That is why we respect privacy, individual life paths and cultural backgrounds.
Whether in conversation, in crises, in grief, illness, searching for orientation or religious questions:
You decide who accompanies you

We invite you: Talk to us – anonymously, confidentially and without judgment.
